Chapter 21
Alexandra’s POV
There he stood, his tall frame shaped against the light, a towel hong loosely along his waist, his hair still damp and rough from the shower. Water droplets glistened on his skin, tracing paths down his abs.
I couldn’t help but stare, my breath caught in my throat as I took in the sight of him. His muscles were perfectly defined, he moved with grace as he walked to his closest. The more I watched, I felt a blush, creeping up my cheeks and hoped it wasn’t
obvious.
“You know, this is just my closet, yours is the door beside it. He said as I looked at the door beside his closet.
I stood up to check it out. I twisted the door job and pushed the door open, and it was a walk-in closet. it was very huge, it was almost the size of my bedroom.
It featured a white glass top console table, showcasing a collection of sunglasses, a white modular closet system for cloth rails, shoe shelves, bag shelves, and so on.
There was a closet with few accessories, a section for makeup, Hats, and many more. But the cloth rails were almost empty, waiting to be filled. “Wow, this is on another level Albert,” I said.
“Do you like it?” He asked as I kept on admiring the room. “I love it.”
“Anything for my queen,” he said.
He held me from behind, his arms wrapped around my waist, he placed his chin on my neck. “You smell so good,” he whispered into my ear.
He gradually turned me to face him, he caught my eyes, and gave me a small smile. I felt a surge of warmth, and my heart skipped a beat. He was effortlessly captivating, and I, on the other hand, was completely enchanted.
To my dismay, he was putting on his sleepwear. “I noticed you were staring at me earlier, ever since I got out of the
restroom.” He said
Shit I thought he wasn’t looking. “I wasn’t,” I denied.
“I know you were, you were staring for like… 3 minutes or so,” he said, with a teasing tone, a smirk playing on his lips.
I tore my gaze away from him, because it was like he was looking into my soul. “I was just…uhm.. lost in thought,” I said, as he chuckled softly, clearly amused.
“Lost in thoughts huh? What were you thinking about, ME?” He said as he laughed, shaking his head and I could feel the heat in my cheeks intensifying. “Just try not to drool next time.
“Come on, let’s go to bed,”He said, as he carried me in a bridal style,
He placed me gently on the bed, and laid beside me with one of his arms, wrapped protectively around me. I felt comfortable, and within minutes, I drifted off
The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. Į stirred, stretching lazily. I turned over and noticed Albert propped up on one elbow, with his hand resting on his jaw.
He stared at me with a small smile. “Good morning,” I greeted.

Chapter 21
“Good morning, my queen, Albert replied. “How are you feeling?”
I sighed contentedly, “much better thanks to you, I slept really well.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” he said, reaching out to brush a stray stand of hair on my face. “I will speak with one of the elders about this, if he would have a clue on what happened to you last night, but he wouldn’t know it happened to you. No one should, at least not yet.” He said, as I nodded my head.
“I feel safe with you,” I unknowingly spoke out.
Albert’s smile widened. “That’s all I want, to keep you safe.” He leaned in, pressing a small kiss on my forehead. “We have meeting today,” he continued, pulling back slightly. “I would love it if you could make it to the meeting, but if you are not feeling up to it, you can stay home and rest. Your well being is the most important thing.”
“I think I can manage.” I replied. “I’ll be there.
Albert added approvingly. “Alright then, I’ll go freshen up.” He stood up, stretching his muscular frame and headed to the
bathroom.
ה
I took a moment to collect my thoughts, before getting out of bed. I went downstairs to prepare a quick breakfast for Albert.
Few minutes later, he came downstairs. “You look and smell nice. I commented
“Thank you,” he said, giving me a peck on the head. “Need help!”
“No, I can manage, just sit,” I said as I served him his breakfast. Aplate of steak and eggs, with a chilled drink for him to wash
it down.
you for the I stayed with him till he was done with his meal Once he was done, he picked up one of the car keys, “thank meal, I have work to attend to before the meeting. I’ll send someone to pick you up, see you later,” he walked over to where I was, kissed me on the checks and with that, he left
I went upstairs, had a quick shower and dressed in a simple but elegant outfit. I went back downstairs to have my breakfast.
Afterwards, I lingered for a moment, contemplating my next move when I heard a honk from the front. I stood up, picked my purse and headed out.
The drive to the pack house was peaceful, the early morning air was refreshing. Sooner later we pulled up to the pack house, I got out and thanked the person that drove me here
The young children I met the other day were playing outside, their laughter feeling the air. My heart warmed at their sight.
“Good morning everyone!” I called out, bending down to greet each child, torching their face gently. They giggled and squirmed, clearly delighted by the attention.
“Miss Alexandra, will you play with us please?” One of the children asked.
“I love to, but that will be later. I have something important to attend to first. I’ll see you later.
Leaving the children to their games, I made my way to where the meeting will be held. “This must be the door,” I said to myself, trying to recollect the exact description Albert gave to ine
I opened the door and stepped inside, all eyes turned to me, the room fell silent. Despite the wave of shyness that washed over me, I maintained my composure and walked confidently to the empty chair beside Albert. As I sat down, the room remained silent, I could still feel their gaze upon me. Few people’s faces looked familiar to me. Marcus was here with his hute, they were sitting beside Albert at his left hand side. Tom was here as well, so was Albert’s mother and some other face

Albert cleared his throat, breaking the tension. “Everyone,” he began, his voice steady and commanding, “I would like to formally introduce Alexandra as my Luna, my mate. I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity, but now seems as good as any.”
A murmur spread through the room, people were whispering to one another. I was nervous, and felt a hint of anxiety.
–
“Quiet everyone,” Albert spoke up, “as you all know now, she’s your Luna, and she should be addressed as one.”
He sat back down after the room became deadly quiet. I could still feel the people gaze on me, but I held my head high, I was determined to show strength and not weakness.
“Let’s pick up from where we stopped. As I was saying, we have several pressing matters to discuss. Firstly I want to address. the situation with the prisoners currently in the dungeon.”
A few heads nodded, while others remained stoic, waiting for Albert to continue.
“The boy at the top floor shared some disturbing information.” Albert said
“He talked? How? As he refused to talk, we all concluded he couldn’t. Someone said,
“Well he did.” Albert spoke up. “Thanks to Alexandra here, he spoke with her, and her alone.” He looked at me with a small
smile.
“According to him, members of his pack were all following someone in black, heading out of the pack’s territory. At à certain point some broke out from the group, heading to different directions, all three in number. His mum and two others were heading here, he followed them, and that’s how he found himse here. He wasn’t sure on how they crossed through the walk but they did.”
“Why is it that what affected his people, did not affect him? And how can he be trusted?” Someone asked.
“We are not sure about that yet.” Albert said. “The kid also said something else. “That when he noticed something was wrong, he locked up his sister in order for protection. So Luna and I had to go check it out. When we visited the pack, it was deserted. We went to the exact location the boy said his sister would be in, but to our dismay, there was no one locked up. But on our way out, we were ambushed. Luckily we were not injured.
Murmurs spread through the room.
“They were not rogues, they didn’t smell like one at least. Their dyes were white, the same as those of the prisoners. So we were forced to believe they were from that pack, though it’s not yet certain.”
I watched as the pack members exchanged worried glances.
“This is all because of her,” the same girl I saw that day with a heavy makeup, and skimpy dress spoke up, she was pointing a finger at me. “We haven’t heard, or seen something like this before, but when she arrived, all of a sudden shit started. happening. She came along with a curse, I’m very sure about it.”
Albert held my hand, his expression hardened. “Annabel, pls sit and be quiet,” he instructed, his tone didn’t leave room for argument.
But she refused. She crossed her arms over her chest. “Just think about it, I doubt I’m the only one that thought of it. Alberts eyes flashed with anger. “You will not speak to your Luna like that,” he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
“Oh please she is not my Luna.”
Alberts’s eyes changed from green to gold as he stood up. Others bowed their head in respect, and so did Annabel. “This should be you first, and last warning. Don’t forget your place.” Albert spoke, but it wasn’t his voice. The voice was deeper, and it gave a certain aura that they all couldn’t handle.
