Alexandra
The first thing I noticed as I regained consciousness was the strong smell of antiseptic. Gradually I opened my eyes, but was affected by the bright white light. I blinked, my vision finally clearing to reveal the white and grey wall of the room and medical equipment. I tried. to stand up but my body felt heavy as if I was weighed down by invisible chains.
I could hear some voices in the room, with which I was familiar with one of them. I couldn’t. really see their faces because they were at the edge of the room, and they were both backing
me.
“How is she now Doc?” Deca’s voice usually, very firm, sounded troubled and filled with
worry.
The doctor responded, “It seems like Luna had a fall, and hit her head badly, but fortunately her injury isn’t too serious.”
“Can you tell me more please? Is she in pain” Deca asked
That made me almost laugh out, if it wasn’t so painful to, I know she cares about me, but that question is just out of it. How on earth won’t I be in pain after hitting my head?
“She does have a mild concussion. We ran a computed tomography scan to make sure there was no internal bleeding or more serious injury. Luckily there wasn’t, everything looked normal. But she needs to be monitored for a while, to ensure her condition doesn’t worsen, and be rest assured that she is in good hands.” the Doctor replied.
I could hear Deca’s sigh of relief. “So she will be okay? No long-term effects?”
“Exactly,” the doctor responded with a reassuring smile. “We will give her some medication to help with the pain, I recommend plenty of rest. She might feel dizzy and tired for a few days, but with proper care and attention, she will be back to her usual self, upand running.
“Deca,” I called out
They both turned their heads in my direction. “She’s awake!” Deca stated, rushing towards
me.
“Luna,” she called taking my hand. “how are you feeling?”
I forced a weak smile, “I’ve been better. How did i get here?”

Chapter 2
She pulled out a chair and sat down, her expression soften as she looked at me. “You didn’t come down for dinner, I asked the alpha if you were sick, I don’t know if i pi**ed him off, he ignored me entirely when i asked, so i had to come check up on you. Immediately i opened the door, y…you collapsed.”
“Thank you Deca, I don’t know what I did to deserve your love, but I am very much grateful to have you in my life,” I said, rubbing her hand,
“Does the Alpha know about this?”
“I’m not sure Luna, but Selena and the beta saw me taking you out last night.”
I couldn’t help but remember what transpired last night. Lucas loves me, and he will change his mind, he’s just hurt.
“Can you hand me my phone pls? Maybe he called.”
“Uhmm sorry Luna but, I didn’t bring your phone with me, it is back in the pack house.”
“Oh okay.”
“Emmm excuse me Luna” the Doctor spoke. I forgot he was still in the room.
“Hello Morgan, I’m so sorry, didn’t realise you were still in the room with us.”
“There’s no need for apologies Luna, I’m here to serve. I’m glad you are feeling much better, but as I told Deca, you need plenty of rest, avoid anything stressful, don’t work yourself out
you will be all good in a couple of days.”

“Thank you so much, when can I be discharged? Lucas must be worried sick, and I prefer the comfort of my bed to this, no offense.”
“None taken,” Dr Morgan said. “You can leave in the afternoon, Don’t forget you need lots of
rest”
“I surely won’t.” I smiled softly
“If you don’t mind, I will take my leave now.” with that, he left.
Deca’s mate came to pick us up later that afternoon, with a bouquet, and some chocolates.
Most of the pack members hate me, some show their hatred openly and few do that by the corners,

These two have been-a blessing to me ever since I arrived, they’ve always cared for me and respected me as I should be respected.
“You got all this for me?” I asked
“For a queen and more,” he said, bowing his head in respect.
“Oh don’t be silly, that’s so thoughtful of you though, thank you.”
“Don’t mention Luna, anything for you,” he said, taking Deca’s hand in his, giving it a light
kiss.
“Eyes on the road please,” she said, visibly blushing.
In no time, we got to the pack house, I got down, thanked them, and we departed.
I got into the room, dropped the bouquet and chocolates on the table, and was headed straight to get my phone when Lucas came out of the bathroom.
I smiled to myself, satisfying my eyes with his form, he looked breathtaking as always, with his dampened black hair, his muscular body, and that sweet sweet scent. “You are home, I was about to call…”
“Where are you coming from?” interrupting me before I could finish my statement.
“I’m just coming from the hospital, I had an accident last night.”
“You are coming from the hospital with a bouquet and chocolates?” he asked
“Oh, that? I got it from Josh. That was like a get-well-soon kind of gift or so,” I said smiling.
“Who did you tell you leaving?”

I just told him I had an accident, and this is what he says.
“Don’t be ridiculous Lucas,” I said, trying to laugh it out.
He walked towards Me grabbing my cheeks. “I asked you a question, who did you inform?” his eyes turned from light brown to gold colour
“Deca said Aiden and Selena saw her taking me out to the hospital, you can call Deca to confirm, or ask Aiden.” I tried pulling out from his grip. “Lucas you are hurting me, please let me go.”
He immediately let me go, his face was blank like he was communicating with someone.

Chapter 2
Aiden walked in a few minutes later.
“Did you see Deca here yesterday?” he asked Aiden
“No I didn’t” he responded.
“Did you see Alexa leaving yesterday?” he asked again
“Yes I did,” Aiden replied, and I was relieved. “I followed her, because it was late, and she entered into a car with an unknown man.” he said
