Chapter 12
Alexandra
It felt so weird. Why would you meet someone for the first time, and give the person a pair of underwear as a welcome gift? I wondered what ever happened to flowers.
She seemed sweet, but the gift wasn’t necessary. I’ll have to return it. ‘You can’t return a gift!’ my subconscious kicked in.
That evening, after a light dinner, we took a walk around the house. It surprised me how the house got bigger with each second. This house was carefully attended to, you can see the intricate designs detailed in every corner.
We walked through to the back, the back was so beautiful, It had a beautiful swimming pool. The water in the pool was as blue as the sky, and it was clear, just like crystals.
green
Around the back were bright tropical gardens, colourful flowers stood up against the leaves. The palm tree swayed gently in the breeze, comfy lounge chairs were scattered. around, perfect for taking in the view. We stayed there for a while in comfortable silence.
Eventually, feeling the weight of the day, pressing down on me, I decided to go to bed early.
We headed inside, and as we got to our place of departure, we said our goodnights, as I entered my room.
I found myself in the forest, the moon cast a faint glow upon the forest, which illuminates the trees with a hunting radiance. I could hear the hoot of an owl, the chirping of birds, and that of the crickets.
As I went further into the dept of the forest, an unsettling sensation crawled underneath my skin. A wave of tension washed over me, causing my senses to sharpen as I scanned the surrounding shadows
A low growl shattered the silence, vibrating through the trees like a warning of impending danger, with a primal roar, a figure emerged from the darkness, its eyes were white, just like the prisoners. Dark fur that stood on end, giving it a more menacing appearance. Its teeth were sharp and elongated, it stood hunched, ready to pounce at any moment.
There were rumblings in the bushes, another one came out, with the same eyes, followed by another. Before I knew it, they multiplied in numbered. ‘How did they get in?’ I thought to myself. I was too scared to run, I saw no point in running, even if i did, it’s pointless because I was out numbered. I stood there and braced myself for the impact.

Chapter 12
Î
They began heading to my direction, but the most surprising thing occurred, they went by me like I didn’t exist. I turned around in shock, as I noticed the direction they were heading to. They moved like shadows, almost ghostly and they were everywhere.
I could feel the adrenaline in my body as i ran after them, I was slower compared to them. I mumbled a curse word, hating the fact that I can’t shift like every other werewolf.
I ran as fast as I could, but I was too late. On getting there, the pack members were fighting off the rogues, most were down, as they were caught by surprise. I ran deeper, heading to the pack house, some soldiers were fighting off the rogues, while Albert mom was guiding some women and children to somewhere safe.
I looked around the pack house, in search of Albert, but he was nowhere to be found. The Intruders were attacking the pack ruthlessly. They showed no mercy as they cut down anyone in their path. My heart raced as I witnessed some children being torn from their mothers’ arms. Their innocent cries were silenced by their ruthless attackers,
I saw a small child with a curly hair trying to run towards the opposite direction, and noticed the shadowy figure following him, I ran after them determined to save the child. I picked up a throwing spear on the ground, there was an open opportunity for me as the wolf slowed down. I leaped up and pierced the spear through the rogue’s back. The tip bursted out through his chest.
The rogue let out a blood-curdling howl of pain, blood gushing from its wound. his attention drifted from the kid to mine. The wolf moved with a predatory grace.
I stood my ground, the rogue just stood there. It didn’t attack me, It just stared. With a final, pained snarl, it turned and ran past me.
“What just happened?” I whispered. I grabbed the kid, and ran towards where Albert mother directed some women and kids. We got there, but it was locked. I didn’t know the password to the door, I knocked hard on the door once, then I knock twice. I repeated the same thing over and over again but gave it a minute interval before I reapet the same action.
Finally I got a response from inside. The person used the same pattern I used in knocking, I reciprocated it and the door was opened. They are roughly a hundred plus women and children In here. I used my eyes to scan for the kid albert left locked up. But he was no where
to be found.
“Where is the little boy that came with the prisoners?” I asked Albert’s Mom.
“I don’t know, I took the few I saw coming my way.” I left the kid with Alberts mom. Running out of the lower deck, I headed upstairs to get the boy. On getting there, the door was left open, and the child was no where to be found. I searched all the rooms upstairs, but couldn’t
I went to the balcony, looked round, searching for the kid. Few of ours were dead, most injured. Many were still fighting. They defeated a reasonable amount of the the rogues. Something strange was happening, one of the rouges lying lifeless began to stand up slowly, then another, the rogues that look dead, were back on their feet’s..
“What the hell is going on,” I muttered. The rogues that remain lifeless on the ground were the ones that had their heads ripped off. “Take off their heads!!!” I screamed from the balcony.
I ran downstairs screaming the same thing. “Take off their heads!!”
There the child was, in the midst of three rogues, I picked up a sword-like knife nearby, running to the kid’s direction when I heard a familiar voice scream.
I turned back to see Albert in the midst of 6 huge rouges. He was badly injured but was still fighting. He looked so exhausted. Suddenly one of the rogues used his sharp canines to grip Alberts’s neck, another one held him down with his weight and tore off his head.
