Chapter 11
Alexandra Pov
I woke up feeling so refreshed, this was the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I glanced at the clock on the desk, beside the bed, and saw that it was already 10:00 Am. I got out of bed and headed to the restroom.
The bathroom was a luxurious space with marble countertops, a deep bathtub, and a large mirror, as wide as a vehicle with other necessities needed in a restroom. “Who on earth uses such mirror in their guest bathroom?” I mumbled to myself.
I turned on the tub spout, to fill the tub with warm water, and added some fragrant bath soap I found on the shelf. As the tub filled, I brushed my teeth with the spare toothbrush that was there.
Once the water in the tub got to a perfect level, I sank into the warm water, letting the heat relax my muscles. I leaned back, closing my eyes. I decided to take my time, soaking in the bath. I washed my hair with the provided shampoo and scrubbed my skin until it felt smooth and clean.
I stayed in the bathtub for a period of half an hour. I stepped out of the tub, and wrapped myself with one of the towels. I dried and brushed my hair till it felt smooth.
I looked at the mirror, admiring myself. The lady looking back seemed different, she looked more relaxed.
I walked to the closet to get dressed. “S**t!” That’s when it dawned on me that I had no spare clothes. I opened the closet door anyway, and Couldn’t believe my eyes. The closet was filled with clothes, different type of female wears, just hanging there. They were all in various styles and colours.
A beautiful, yet elegant sundress caught my attention. The texture was so soft, the dresses was made of a light, airy fabric, that flowed beautiful. It had a fitted bodice with thin straps, and a flared skirt, that reached just above my knees. The dress Is a perfect combination of what I call comfortable and stylish.
After putting on the dress, I looked at myself in the mirror, the dress was so perfect, it fit perfectly well and it complemented my skin tone. Smoothing the fabric, I have myself one last look before stepping out of the room.
Stepping into the hallway, I realised that I have no idea where I was to go. The house was
enormous.

I carefully made my way down the staircase. If I’m to start from anywhere, it wll definitely bet from downstairs. The interior decor was elegant, and the paintings that adorned the wall were beautiful.
As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I was greeted with the delicious aroma of bacon and
eggs.
“My stomach growled, “oh calm down tiger, I know your hunger,” I muttered, talking to my stomach. Thankfully, no one was around to hear that. I followed the scent, hoping it would lead me to the kitchen.
I found myself at the entrance of a s**io*h the dining decor. This must be a dry kitchen. The kitchen had a medium kitchen countertop, a* shallow sink, a microwave, waffles maker, a blender, freege, toaster, a cooktop, last but not the least, a television.
Albert was standing at the cooktop, preparing breakfast. He wore a simple white T-shirt and a black jeans.
He looked completely at ease as he flipped the pancakes, and scrambled eggs in another pan.
par I used my eyes to scan everywhere for the bacon, and finally, I found it sitting pretty on the counter, It looked so good.
“Good morning.” I greeted.
He turned, with a warm smile spread across his face. “Oh there you are sleeping beauty,” he said, as my cheeks turned rosy red. “Good morning, I hope you slept well.” He asked
“I did thank you,” I replied. “You cook?” I asked, still taking in the sight of him cooking.
He chuckled, turning back to the pancakes on fire, and flipped it. “I enjoy cooking, though I hardly cook. Then I thought about it, I now have someone to cook for, so… .why not just do
it?”
He dished the meals. One plate contained bacon and eggs, while the other contained pancakes. He brought the meal over to where I was seated, “A perfect meal, for a beautiful lady,” he said as he picked my right hand up and gently placed a kiss on it. “Enjoy your meal.” He sat to have his breakfast as well.” I hope you like bacon and eggs, he asked.
“It’s perfect,” I said, my mouth watering at the sight of the meal.
He join-me, as we ate together in a comfortable silence. The food was as good as it smelled.
This is really good,” I said between bites. “Who knew someone like you could cook so good!”

He raised an eyebrow at my comment. Oh s**it did i cross my boundaries? I thought to myself. “What i meant was that, Alphas and kitchens don’t really mix well.” I quickly said as I drank the cup of coffee on the table.
“Calm down Alexandra,” he said. “There are lots of things you don’t know about me,” he replied with a playful smile.
I laughed softly, “I supposed that’s true.”
We finished our breakfast, we began talking about lighter topics, getting to know each other better. I found myself laughing at his jokes, And enjoying his company more than i had expected.
As we cleaned up the kitchen together, Albert suggested we go for a ride, to show me round the territory, I agreed to, why not?
He showed me round the pack, I would admit it, it’s so big and beautiful.we weren’t able to cover all today, we decided to continue tomorrow. When ever we made a stop, people greeted him with respect, and not fear. “Was the rumors I heard about him even true?” I asked my self wondering. The man sitting beside me is the opposite of the rumors i heard.

We headed home after getting some Ice cream. I have some unfinished business to attend to at the pack house,” he said. “My mother will be coming over shortly to keep you company, and Marcus’s mate will also visit. So you dont have to worry about being alone.”
“I’ll be fine Albert, I appreciate your thoughtfulness though, thank you.”
He
gave me a small reassuring smile before leaving the house. Once he was gone, I wandered through the sp**us rooms. I finally decided to settle down in the living room and watch a movie, to pass out time.
I turned to different channels but stopped at the animated movie called The Lion King.
“You
got to
put your past behind you,” the meerkat said. “Look kid, bad things happen, and you can’t do anything about It, right?” he asked the young lion.
“Right,” the little cub said.
“Wrong!” the meerkat said. “When the world turns it’s back on you, you turn your back on the world.”
“Well, that’s not what I was told,” the little cub replied.
“Then maybe you need a new lesson, repeat after me!” the meerkat said. “Hakuna matata.”

“What?” the little cub-asked.
“Hakuna Matata.” the warthog repeated. “It means no worries.”
Then they started singing. It was like this particular phrase was meant for me. Its not my first. time watching this movie, but I can watch it over, and over again without getting tired.
Half way through the movie, the doorbell rang, I sat it out, but it rang for the second time again. I paused to movie, and stood up to go check who it was.
The door was code activated. luckily for me, Lucas left some digits in a small paper by the door. I imputed them and the door unlocked.

Standing by the door, was a woman, who looked to be in her late thirties. Her eyes lit when she saw me. “Oh you must be Alexandra!” she said, walking up to me with open arms, as she embraced me.
I was taken aback. “Hello,” I said.
“Oh dear, I’m sorry. You must be wandering who I am,” she said. “Didn’t Albert tell you I was coming today?” she said.

“Are you
you Albert’s Mother?” I asked. She surprisingly looked younger than expected. She has a fit body, and she is very beautiful.
“Yes, I’m Eleanor. Its so lovely to finally meet you.”
“Its nice to meet you as well,” I said. “You look…..Wow,” was all I could alter.
She guided me back to the couch. “Come, sit with me, I’ve been looking forward to meeting you.”
“How have you been settling in, I hope you are comfortable here,” she asked.
“Yes, it’s been…. interesting. I must say, this place truly is beautiful.”
“You truly are beautiful,” Eleanor complimented, “I’m glad he found you. He might seem hard, always too serious, and cold at times. But he does all this in the interest of his people. He is a very sweet and lovable person when you get to know the real him.

“One thing he loves more than anything in the world is work!” she dramatically said, putting her hand on her head which made me chuckle.
We went on with the conversation, she told me some childhood stories about Albert, some were extremely funny. We were like that for a couple of hours.
There goes the door bell again. Lexcused myself, and went to get the door. I was greeted by a beautiful woman, with an infectious smile. Her hair were down in loosed wave, just below her shoulders. She was dressed in a casual outfit.
“Hello, you must me Alexandra,” she said, extending her hand. I’m Isabel, Marcus’s mate.”
“Yes, I’m Alexandra. It’s nice to meet you Isabel. Do come in please.” I invited her In..
“Oh my this place is just beautiful,” Isabella exclaimed. Twirling round to take in the details… “The Alpha surly has good taste.”
We all talked, laughed, watched some movies, for some hours, before they left.
I took the little box Isabel gave me, and went upstairs. After settling down, I opened the gift.
To my surprise, it was a matching bra and panty set.
