Chapter 57~ Only I can love right!
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Ethan stirred awake as he groaned while sitting up.
“Nothing,” Rose said, refusing to meet his gaze.
“Is it?” Ethan asked playfully as he pulled Rose back into the bed earning a giggle from her.
“Ethan! We need to wake up and talk!” Rose laughed as she tried to loosen his grip.
Ethan bit her earlobe as he pressed her back to his front, “Fine, but we need to have lunch with Grandpa too. He wanted to discuss your exhibition results but we can use the chance to share the news too.”
Finally pulling away from him, Rose stood from the bed and offered him a smile, “I’ll take a shower then.”
“Should I join you?” Ethan asked.
Rose shook her head as she walked into the shower, she had a huge smile as she turned on the hot water. Ethan had become a whole new person overnight and she loved it, a part of her wished and prayed that they would stay like that for as long as they could.
As she shut the door, Ethan stood and was about to walk into the adjoining bathroom when his phone vibrated. He glanced at it and saw that it was Zoe, his brows furrowed and he cut the call but she only called again.
Sighing, he slid right and answered the call
“What is it, Zoe?” He growled into the phone.
“Ethan! I’ve been at your house for some time now and they won’t let me see you. I have something to tell you!” Zoe cried into the phone.
Ethan felt a headache starting to form as he massaged his temples. It was the after–effect of drinking too much the previous night. He looked at the bathroom and heard the water running,
“I’ll only give you five minutes.” He said as he grabbed a change of clothes and walked downstairs.
When he arrived he found her standing in the living room wearing a white smart shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Zoe had a great sense of fashion and everyone used to admire her wherever she went, seeing that Ethan was rather irritated by her visit and not excited, she balled her hands into fists but fixed her face,
“Ethan!”
“I’m busy, I have to take Rose to see Grandpa so make it quick.” He said coldly.
“Can we speak in your study? What I have to say is confidential.” Zoe said.
Ethan nodded.
They walked into the study and he sat behind his huge brown desk staring at her impatiently.
Zoe took a report from her handbag and placed it on the table with a smirk.
Ethan watched her movements and frowned, “What is this?” He asked coldly.

“If you’re here to talk about what happened with Grandpa, I’m over it. The situation has changed. People make mistakes so I forgave her!”
Zoe was taken aback. She didn’t expect that he would move passed such news so quickly, but what Ethan didn’t know was she was on a whole new level.
The previous day, Francesca had been placed under Dr. Calvin. It was then that she saw one of the reports showing Rose’s details and Zoe almost fainted when she heard Rose was pregnant.
At the same time, her men who she had placed around Rose to follow her and report her activities had sent in pictures of her and Mason. So she refused to lose Ethan and was ready to use any means possible.
“You’re a good man, Ethan, that’s why I love you. But I don’t know if anyone other than me will ever love you genuinely!” Zoe began.
“Zoe, I don’t have time for your bullshit.” Ethan stood from his seat but was frozen in place when the next words left Zoe’s mouth,
“That child isn’t yours. I don’t know if Rose has told you she’s pregnant yet, but that child isn’t yours!” Zoe repeated and Ethan felt a cold shiver run down his spine.
He felt his ears ringing and his blood boil, “Get out! Before I kick you out myself!” He growled.
But Zoe wasn’t backing down, she only stared at him and crossed her chest, “Check the pictures. That’s the woman you married being cozy with Mason! I’ve seen them together a few times and I know deep down you’ve seen it too. Wake up, Ethan! I’m the only one who can ever love you right!” Zoe said as she pulled out the pictures and spread them on the table.
Ethan ran out of strength as he sat back down in the chair. His hands were shaking in anger as he grabbed the pictures, he could see Rose smiling as Mason spoke. In other pictures, they were in bed in a hotel with a sleeping Rose lying on Mason’s chest.
The world around him blurred as he took his phone and dialed Zane’s number, “Come to my house right
now!”
He cut the call‘ and threw the phone across the room shattering it against the wall.
“You should leave!” He said to Zoe.
“I’ll leave but I’ll be back to check on you tomorrow
