“You do have an eye for business, Mr.Sinclair! This is incredible!” Mr. Quin praised.
“Thank you,” Ethan responded flatly.
His whole mood had soured Since his last encounter with Zoe. He hated the feeling that was stuffing his chest like he was being suffocated.
“Yes, he does!” Zane added as he sipped on his glass of wine.
“Why don’t you take a look at the other designs and see if any is to your liking?” Tom asked Mr. Quin, noticing how irritated his boss looked.
Usually, no one would know what Ethan was feeling because he was so good at Keeping his composure, but this day, anyone who was within his 3–meter radius could tell he was extremely annoyed.
“Oh, that’s a great idea!” Mr. Quin chuckled as he walked away with Tom leading the way.
Ethan took another glass of wine and drowned it in a second. Zane watched him with worried eyes, “Did something happen?”
“No.” Came his flat response.
“When lan returns, I think you should have your head checked, these mood swings are getting worse by the day!” Zane shook his head.
“Fuck you!” Ethan responded as he walked out.
Rose noticed Ethan exiting and ran after him, her mood was sour from the pictures she received but she still owed him gratitude for helping her exhibition turn out to be such a huge success.
“Ethan, are you already leaving?”
“Yes.”
“Ohhh, Okay then. Thank you for tonight! I’ll see you at home.” Rose said.
He didn’t even respond or acknowledge her words and left. Alfred who was holding the door looked at her apologetically, “I’m sorry about that. The young Master must have had a terrible day.”
“It’s alright. No need to defend him.” Rose said. Seeing him in such a mood wasn’t new for her. She was
used to it.
“Have a wonderful day, madam,” Alfred said.
Rose smiled and walked back inside, everything was going well and her pieces were selling like wildfire.
“Thank you all for being here today,” Kate began, “This has been a success because of your unwavering support. But let me not bore you with a long speech.” She smiled and the crowd chuckled.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the beauty and brains behind R&P jewelry! Rosaria Cooper!” She announced and the crowd cheered,
“Go, girl!” Natalie screamed.

“What are you doing here?” Zane asked, his green eyes darkening.
“Well, well. If it isn’t the stupid rich brat!” Natalie rolled her eyes.
“I should have you thrown out!” Zane sneered.
“I’d like to see you try! Now if you’ll excuse me!” She brushed past his shoulder and went to stand next to Mason, who was watching Rose with admiration in his eyes.
“Thank you, everyone. I’m so speechless right now. But one thing goes without doubt, we are so grateful for your support and we hope you love our designs.
Because you trusted In us, we would like to give back to society therefore, 20% of all profits that will be made tonight, will be donated to a reputable charity organization. Thank you once again, happy Shopping!”
Claps and cheers could be heard. As Rose stepped off the stage, she was surrounded by different investors and media Personnel.
She was patient and even though it had been four hours and she felt exhausted, she answered each one politely Until Kate stepped in,
“Miss, Cooper. You’re needed.”
“Please excuse me,” Rose smiled and walked away with Kate.
“You’re a lifesaver!” She whispered and Kate laughed.
Rose walked to the balcony so she could get some fresh air. Her phone vibrated and flashed Natalie.
NATALIE: [You did great! I’m sorry I had to leave early, I have a big case tomorrow. Let’s celebrate after. Kisses!]
“What’s making you smile like that?” Mason asked as he took off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders.
“Natalie,” Rose responded. “Oh, I’m okay.” She was about to remove the jacket but Mason only placed it back on her shoulders.
“You’re cold, Rose. You can give it back when it’s time to go.”
Rose smiled, Mason was always kind and soft–spoken. She often wondered if he had people around him who took care of him the way he took care of others.
They weren’t close when they were young, but having spent a few times with him, she couldn’t help but feel drawn to him. To her, he was a great friend who she could rely on and who Mason could rely on too!
“Okay!” She laughed.
“Congratulations! You deserve it after working so hard. He offered her a smile.
“Thank you!” Rose said smiling back at him.
They spent the rest of the evening laughing and catching up to help take her mind off the stress of sales. After a few jokes from Mason, the anxiety she was feeling was long forgotten.

Soon, they walked back inside and found Kate smiling. Most of the guests had already left and so had most of the pieces. Kate held up the tablet and jumped in front of Rose, “We sold 90% of what we had present!”
“Oh my God!” Rose held her mouth in disbelief as tears of joy blurred her vision. She turned to look at Mason and grabbed his hand excitedly, “Did you hear that?!”
Mason chuckled, “I did! Congratulations, Rose! I’ll buy the remaining 10% so you can make it a full sale!”
“Oh no! Please don’t. You’ve already helped more than enough. I’ll feel like I owe you again.” Rose said.
Mason was quiet for a few seconds before he sighed, “That’s fine then. But job well done!”
The night had ended and Alfred had dropped Rose off at home, she was excited and was ready to share the news with Ethan.
Her anger towards him was long forgotten, But her steps felt heavy when she stepped into the living room and there sat Ethan.
He had a glass of whiskey and his eyes were red. He looked so broken when he raised his eyes to look at
Rose.
She didn’t understand what had gone wrong until he stood and walked towards her. Each step drummed a beat in her heart,
“Ethan?”
“How could you keep this from me?” He asked when he stood in front of her.
“Keep what?” Rose’s heart was beating hard against her chest.
She knew he had found out but she didn’t know how. She was careful and made sure she didn’t leave any evidence behind but somehow he knew.
Ethan raised the hospital documents in front of Rose and all the blood drained from her face,
“How long have you known that you’re pregnant?”
