“Oh my goodness that boy is surely mean to you, my dear!” Georgina reached over and tried to hug Rose.
Rose felt her face redden from embarrassment. It wasn’t the first time that Ethan had chosen Zoe over her so she shouldn’t have been affected but experiencing Such humiliation in front of Grandpa sent a different kind of pain.
Georgina read the atmosphere and Was able to tell that Rose had not told anyone yet about her pregnancy. She wondered why she was keeping it a secret but smirked in her heart because no matter the reason, it would work in her favor for the plan she had.
Seeing no one was buying her bait, She added with an exaggerated worried tone,
“Ohhh my heart truly breaks for you! Look at how much you’ve sacrificed to be a wonderful wife and yet he is still playing around! Maybe he’s yet to handle real responsibility.” Georgina Said with the hope that Anderson would take a hint of her proposal and have Ethan stripped of his title so that her husband could take his place.
But her face paled When Anderson got upset with her instead, “Is gossip the only thing you know?!”
“Father, it’s not gossip. You know it’s true! Ethan doesn’t seem ready to handle serious things!” Georgina responded innocently.
She avoided saying the real words and what she was implying for fear of experiencing Grandpa’s wrath.
“What do you know about serious things when you can’t even keep your own daughter in check? Do you think I don’t know about Jane’s scandals? Go home and teach her to behave better rather Than stand there and speak nonsense!” Anderson fumed.
Georgina felt embarrassed, but she knew if she argued she’d only make him angrier. Smiling fakely, “I’m sorry if I offended you, Rose, I’ll take my leave now. Please take care of Father and don’t forget about our lunch date!”
Rose felt bad that she had to receive backlash because of her, she smiled at her and said, “Thank you, I
will. You take care.”
Georgina Wanted to hug Rose but thought twice about it and just squeezed her hand instead and left.
It was now just the two of them. Rose smiled as she helped Anderson to the car. He was in deep thought and didn’t say anything. It was not until they were seated that he finally spoke. His voice was calm and leveled, “My dear,” He began and pulled Rose’s hands into his.
“Yes, Grandpa.” Rose smiled faintly.
“I hope you haven’t taken what that crazy woman said to heart.”
Rose sighed, Grandpa was just delaying the inevitable. Sooner or later, Ethan would leave her for Zoe, and seeing him walk back into that room showed no one would stand in his way.
“You know Ethan loves Zoe. But it’s okay. I’m now used it’s only a matter of time before he finally sends -me the signed divorce papers.” ”
“He doesn’t love that silly girl. I know my boy and he could just be confused. He has been by her side out of habit and not because he feels anything for her.” Anderson said but Rose only shook her head.

She was tired of force hopes and she couldn’t hide in his shield forever. She had a child coming and sooner or later she would be on her own. She couldn’t afford fairytales.
“Maybe in our next life. But for now, I just want to focus on the exhibition.”
“I know you’re hurt. But I also know you love him. If you could only give him a little more time to fix his feelings, you’ll see what I mean, I will only consider you as my granddaughter–in–law! No one else!” Anderson chuckled.
Alfred had reached the headquarters in charge of printing her designs, “Madam, we are here.”
“Thank you for being so kind to me, Grandpa! Please take care of yourself.” Rose said as Alfred held the door open for her.
Rose was about to enter the building when Anderson rolled down the window, “Rose, dear.”
“Yes?” Rose smiled as she stepped closer.
“Ethan loves you, he just doesn’t know it yet.
Rose was taken aback, she didn’t know what to do with that information because it came as news to her. Not once had she ever heard him say romantic things like ‘I miss you.” So hearing the words ‘Love and Ethan‘ belonged to a sentence with “Zoe‘ in it and not her.
She forced a smile but Anderson knew she didn’t believe him. Chuckling, he waved her off, “Let me not delay you! Go on!”
“Bye Grandpa!” Rose waved as she stepped inside the building and Alfred drove off.
At the same time, Willow and Tinashe were walking into the same building. Willow’s father was the Manager of the company where Rose was having her brochures printed. It was a highly expensive brand and only big shots got deals from there.

After the humiliation they encountered earlier, they vowed to make Rose pay by whatever means possible, and seeing that inside the car was an old man made Willow smirk in mischief.
“She thinks she’s untouchable but it seems she’s just a whore trying to get to the top by sleeping around! Otherwise, how would such a nobody get rich so suddenly?”
“Come on!” Tinashe Pulled Willow by the hand, “Let’s make this bitch pay!”
They both rushed inside and caught up with Rose. She was just submitting her ID and stepped into the elevator. The moment she turned to press the floor number, Willow and Tinashe joined in.
“I have to give it to Rose, I never thought you’d go as far as becoming a professional whore!”
