“Mr.Sinclair?” Stella stepped forward.

Her face was pale as she tried to force a smile. “Bring the drinks!” She hissed at her workers before turning to Ethan,
“Please come in, get comfortable. We will get rid of this thief right away!”
“Which thief and what did she steal?” Ethan raised his brow while placing his hands in his suit pockets.
The entire room seemed to freeze and no one dared to move for fear of offending him.
“Uhm the v
young lady, lied about making a payment of $60,000 so I asked the officers to help me!”
“Really? That’s odd. Because 1,” he said as he pulled Rose to his side, “Received a deduction notification of $60,000 an hour ago.”
Stella’s tongue dried, “But how did you receive the notification? Did she steal your card?”
“You’re a little slow, aren’t you? She didn’t steal it, the card-” Rose pinched him so he wouldn’t end up saying they were married.
“I sent her to get those things for me! But it seems you not only disrespected her but tried to steal my money too!”
“No! I’d never. I thought… I really checked and it didn’t show! Stella knelt infront of Ethan.
“Oh you shouldn’t beg me, I will make your life a living hell. But that’s not up to me, you should be apologizing to Rose.”
Her eyes widened.
Tinashe and Willow froze and both joined Stella to plead, “Rose, please forgive our ignorance!” Rose scoffed and crossed her arms. She couldn’t believe how pathetic they were.
Ethan released his hold on Rose and walked over to the chair where Tinashe had put her phone.
He took it and threw it against the wall making it shatter into pieces, “No!”
Tears welled in her eyes, she was broken. How could she afford another expensive phone? Her friends would laugh at her and she already had a maximum in debt.
“My phone!” Was all she could say. She was afraid Ethan’s ruthlessness might not end there.
“What do you want to do to them” Ethan asked Rose.
Her eyes turned ice cold, “I want this property stripped from her and her business ruined. I want her blacklisted, so she will never have any opportunity to bully any innocent person ever again!
But her workers have families to feed and are very sweet and kind, I’ll employ them to work for me so they don’t lose their jobs.”
Ethan nodded pride in his eyes. This was the first time he had seen Rose angry and seeking justice for the
weak.
Something in his chest shifted. She was indeed different from Zoe. The more he spent time with her the more he realized it
Zoe was selfish and manipulative the only cared about herself and nothing else. Ethan knew that but because of his promise, he couldn’t just abandon her

Stella’s eyes widened, tears rolled down her face as she turned to Willow and Tinashe, “Look at what you’ve done to me! Fix it you foolt Didn’t you know she was associated with him?”
“How could we? Willow responded afraid of what Rose would do to her
But Rose only smiled as she knelt before her, I hope you’re happy and the scene was dramatic enough With that, he and Ethan turned to leave leaving Tom to handle Rose’s request
Ethan held the door open for Rose as they drove back
“Thank you for today. I’m sorry for inconveniencing your Rose said. Feeling guilty that he had to come all the way downtown just to deal with stupid matters when he had more important things to do.
“It’s no problem.” He responded.
The drive was quiet but not uncomfortable Rose knew the road Ethan turned into, but it wasn’t leading to their house or office. She furrowed her brows, curiosity building inside her,” Where are we going?”
“To the hospital,” Ethan responded.
“Are you feeling sick? Rose asked, worry etched in her voice.
“No, Zoe is still there. We just need to check on her then I can take you home.” Ethan said.
Rose felt her heart clenched. It was always like that with him, two steps forward. Five steps backward. Just when she thought they were making progress, he went on and ripped her heart out.
Unable to say anything else, she just said, “Okay.”
They walked into the ward where Zoe was admitted. It was a VVIP room with the best doctors attending to her.
“How is she?” Ethan asked as they entered the room and found a doctor checking her vitals.
“She has stabilized, but she shouldn’t be under any sort of pressure to avoid what happened last time
Ethan nodded but Rose was confused.
What happened last time?
Zoe was awake and sitting on the hospital bed, she looked as beautiful as ever in her hospital gown, and her beautiful blonde her tied neatly in a ponytail. One would think she came to take a shoot for the hospital and wasn’t a patient herself.
“Ethan!” Zoe’s eyes brightened but her happiness was short-lived when she saw that he didn’t come alone. Her smile slipped but she forced another as she laid back down,
“Rose, you came too. That’s very kind of you.” She said in a weak voice.

“Yes, I hope you get better soon,” Rose said.
Ethan’s phone vibrated. He pulled it out before turning to Rose, “I have to take this. I won’t take long.”
“Okay,” Rose said and Ethan walked out.
Rose was about to sit on the visitor’s chair when Zoe sat up and said, “You’re shameless aren’t you?”
“What are you talking about?”

Her eyes were cold, the weakness in her voice nowhere to be seen, it was like a miracle had just happened and she had suddenly recovered,
“You think following Ethan around will stop us from being together?”
