Chapter 5
“Emily, thank you.”
I waved dismissively. “What are friends for? No need to thank me.”
The entire room was stunned by the scene unfolding before them.
“What? This woman is actually the real eldest daughter of the Parker family?”
“And the one on stage is just a nanny’s daughter?”
“How is that possible? How could a nanny’s daughter have the audacity to impersonate the Parker family’s princess and not fear being exposed?”
“These two must be scammers, working together to disrupt the wedding!”
I simply smiled, ignoring the whispers around me.
Meanwhile, John’s face turned paler with every passing second.
John Kinsley looked at me in disbelief, then at Jude Parker, before his suspicious gaze finally landed
on the bride beside him.
The woman wasn’t the real Parker family heiress at all–she was the daughter of the Parker family’s nanny, Jesse Parker.
If it weren’t for John’s mother giving me five million to make me leave, I wouldn’t have known he was getting married. And to make things worse, the supposed bride was my best friend, Jude Parker.
When I found out, I was completely baffled. I immediately called Jude overseas.
“Emily Hope, are you still half–asleep? You know I’m against marriage. Why would I ever get
married? And to whom?”
“Your boyfriend? I wouldn’t even give him a second glance, let alone marry him.”
That was when I realized something was off.
After having my people investigate, I discovered that someone had brazenly impersonated the Parker family heiress–and, by sheer coincidence, had taken on the identity of my best friend.

“John Kinsley, you didn’t expect this, did you? You thought you were marrying into wealth, but instead, you got yourself a fraud.”
I had heard before that John was fixated on marrying into a wealthy family.
With his family’s business struggling, he was eager to secure better resources through a marriage
alliance.
But while he was trying to exploit others, he failed to see that others were also trying to exploit him.
Jesse, knowing she was just a nanny’s daughter and couldn’t truly marry into high society, took advantage of Jude’s absence to impersonate her and sneak her way into the Kinsley family.
nd yet, I had ruined her grand scheme.
“Rubbish! We’ve met the Parker family heiress in person. She is Jude Parker! You two must be scammers who’ve come to disrupt this wedding!”
John’s mother shouted furiously, her voice trembling with rage.
“Wait until the Parker family gets here. You’ll see how they deal with you!”
“Emily Hope, I gave you a chance before. You could’ve left quietly, but you insisted on staying. When the Parker family arrives, I’d like to see how you beg for mercy!”
“Guards, seize them!”
Her face was twisted with a vicious sneer, entirely unshaken.
I couldn’t help but shake my head. It was likely she herself who’d be begging for mercy soon.
Jude Parker moved to intervene, signaling her bodyguards, but I shook my head at her, silently hinting that she should wait and watch the show unfold.
The next moment, someone exclaimed,
“The Parker family is here!”
John and his mother instantly plastered on fawning smiles as they rushed out to greet them.
“My dear in–laws, you’ve finally arrived!”
“You wouldn’t believe what’s happened at the wedding today. Two women claiming to be scammers; barged in and deliberately caused a scene. They even brought funeral wreaths and paper money to

curse the wedding. You must deal with them properly!”
But the Parker parents paid them no attention, instead striding urgently into the venue.
When they saw the scene, their faces immediately darkened,
“Where’s my daughter?” Mr. Parker demanded.
John’s mother hurriedly pointed to the stage.
“My dear in–law, Jude is right there!”
“As long as the Kinsley family is here, no one will hurt her,” John’s mother declared confidently.
But no sooner had the words left her mouth than the Parker family’s expressions darkened further.
“Are you telling me that imposter is supposed to be my daughter, Jude Parker?
John and his mother froze, exchanging panicked glances as their faces turned ashen.
“She isn’t?”
“But how could that be? The last time I visited the Parker family, the person sitting on the couch was
her!”
“I clearly saw her calling you mom and dad…”
