Antonio wiped his face and let out a bitter laugh, his eyes locked on mine with a cold stare.
“So you know everything.
“But so what? We’re husband and wife. Even if we split, I’m taking half your wealth.
“Moreover, while you were busy having the baby, I’ve got a tight grip on the Business Department. I can easily start my own business!”
laughed too.
Without my say–so, those key business personnel and overseas students wouldn’t have followed his orders.
Besides, I was the one who called the shots on the big stuff, and Antonio was just a figurehead.
But clearly, he didn’t see it that way.
I had Luke hand him the divorce papers.
“What?! Leave with nothing? Grace, you’re daydreaming! There’s no way that’s happening!
“For a divorce, I want half of the Parrish family’s fortune!”
Antonio ripped the papers to shreds, glaring at me with defiance.

I had Donny from the HR Department hand Antonio the letter of
termination.
He ripped that up too.
I just smiled as the pieces of paper flew everywhere.
It was no big deal, because today was just to give Antonio a heads–up. Like everyone said, my legal team had never lost a case!
Letting the lawyers handle it made things a lot easier.
But with the live stream, Antonio’s and Sophia’s names were seriously tarnished.
Antonio and Sophia were about to leave with Jacob, but I had the bodyguard stop them.
Antonio turned to look at me with a sneaky grin. “What are you up to?”
I turned my gaze to the live–streamer.
“Want to make your story go viral?”
Her eyes sparkled.
I nodded at Luke. “Let’s start the playback.”
The projector showed Leah, and then Jacob and his buddies cornered her.
“Calling my dad yours, huh? I’ll knock you out for this!”
Jacob kicked Leah in the stomach, and she screamed in pain,

trying to get away, but a little boy behind her grabbed her.
“The kid of a mistress deserves a beating!
“My mom said, a love child like you should have been killed at birth!”
Leah flailed her hands in resistance, crying uncontrollably.
“You’re lying! That’s my dad! Mom, Dad, come save me!
“It really hurts!
“Mom, Dad, where are you?”
Many parents there couldn’t stand to watch, and quite a few mothers started crying.
Revisiting that nightmare was just too much.
I was so angry that I could’ve killed that little rascal.
Seeing how furious I was, Antonio stepped in front of Jacob protectively, but Jacob was laughing behind him.
“Leah had it coming! She shouldn’t have tried to take my dad away from me!
“Next time I see her, I’ll beat her up again!
“She’s a little bastard!”
My fists were clenched tight, and my heart was breaking.
I couldn’t even imagine how scared and helpless Leah must have felt.

“I’m sorry, Leah. I didn’t keep her safe.
“But don’t worry. I’ll make sure those who hurt you pay for what they’ve done!” I thought to myself
The decent parents there gasped in shock.
This wasn’t just kids playing around; it was like something from a horror movie.
Where did kids learn to do stuff like this and say such mean things? It had got to be from their parents.
All the parents felt for me, and they were shouting that the parents of those kids who hurt Leah should be punished.
“They need to be out of here!”
“Yeah, or our kids could be next!”
“Get them out of the kindergarten!”
But Antonio, Sophia, and the parents who were part of hurting Leah thought it was no big deal, just kids playing around.
Antonio yelled out, “What’s all the noise about?
“Isn’t it normal for kids to scrap? Do we really need to make such a big deal out of it?
“I’m Leah’s real dad, and I’m not making a fuss about it. Who are you to judge us?!”
I stared him down.
“Antonio, Leah is your child too. Don’t you care that she was

Antonio felt a bit uneasy under my stare but still forced himself
to say, “Leah just got a little hurt, and she’s fine now.
“Why are you making such a big deal out of it?!”
Before I could respond, the other parents couldn’t take it
anymore.
“That’s not something a dad should say! Even if you’re worried about your illegitimate child, do you just forget about Leah?”
“Leah is so young. How sad it is to have such a cold–hearted dad!”
“A beast in human form!”
“He’s lower than an animal!”
Feeling embarrassed, Antonio shot a glare at those pointing fingers at him.
Then he turned to leave.
Just then, the police showed up.
I handed over the video and Leah’s injury report.
