Chapter 13
A month later, on a chilly evening, I received a call informing me that Hallie had passed away. After her death, the Werewolf Council instructed Alpha Joseph to handle her body and arrange the funeral, as they had been married.
However, Alpha Joseph refused. Since I had previously reported the situation, they informed me. Feeling helpless, I had to find someone, spend some money, and arrange for her cremation and burial.
To my surprise, before she died, Alpha Joseph had delivered a heavy blow to the rogue king. He offered the entire Wilderness Pack as payment, joining forces with other wolf packs to launch a near-extermination assault on the

rogue’s stronghold. The rogues were almost entirely wiped out, with only a few managing to escape. Alph Joseph successfully killed the rogue king.
But three months later, Alpha Joseph suddenly started coughing up blood. After a hospital examination, he was diagnosed with cancer. I couldn’t understand whether cancer was truly contagious or if his anxiety over annihilating the rogue king had given the disease an opportunity.
While Alpha Joseph lay bedridden, he sent someone to find me, requesting a final meeting. I agreed.
I went to the hospital empty-handed, having bought nothing. Back then, when Hallie was ill, he callously tossed my supplements into the

trash without any consideration.
Now, with him ill, it was simpler.
He apologized, hoping I could forgive him.
I smiled and shook my head, telling him I had never hated him.
“At first, when you said Hallie wanted a wedding, I didn’t think much of it, though I knew something was off. When I got home that night, I realized what needed to be done, so we ended our mate bond.”
Alpha Joseph asked, “You knew from the start that she had ulterior motives?”
I nodded.

He asked why I hadn’t warned him. I smiled. I had warned him multiple times, but when had he ever listened?
It was his love, his destined mate. At that time, Alpha Joseph was already so obsessed and delusional that he couldn’t heed anyone’s advice. For the sake of their love and a perfect ending to their cherished memories, he had plunged into that gentle trap.
As I left, the light in Alpha Joseph’s eyes slowly faded. I thought to myself that my kindness had its limits; to tolerate beyond that was merely weakness. Besides, in that situation, his affair with Hallie was hardly deserving of sympathy.

Epilogue
After Alpha Joseph’s death, Wilderness Pack fell into a brief period of chaos as it was overrun by several wolf packs. Given my past connections with the pack, I negotiated with the other packs and acquired the territory of Wilderness Pack. I merged it with Darkmoon Pack, becoming the Alpha of the largest wolf pack in South America.
From being the Luna of the former Wilderness Pack to becoming the Alpha of the formidable Darkmoon Pack, my journey had come full
circle.
On my 30th birthday, my friends organized a celebration at a bar. As I stood up, slightly tipsy, to head to the restroom, I was suddenly tripped.

As I stumbled forward, I collided with
someone’s chest.
Immediately, the mingled scent of rum and roses enveloped me.
“Mate! I’ve found our mate!” My wolf, Zoe, exclaimed with excitement.
My eyes widened in disbelief, struggling to process what I had just seen and heard.
Looking up, I saw the most beautiful blue eyes.
Wait a minute! He was the Alpha King often featured in the newspapers-Jeffrey Madron.
He whispered in my ear, “I’ve finally found you, my mate.”
