Chapter 29 I Ate What You Cooked
I arrived at Mason’s company.
It had already been one hour after work, and there were not many people in the company.
I went directly to the floor where the president’s office was located.
Originally, I thought that if the secretary was there, I would have the secretary bring the food inside.
To my surprise, there was not a single person in the spacious office.
Has Mason already left?
I came to the door of the president’s office with suspicion and knocked. thought there was no one inside, but to my surprise, the next second a familiar deep voice came
out.
“Come in!”
My heart trembled slightly as I pushed open the door.
I saw Mason sitting at the desk, flipping through documents.
He furrowed his brows, looking serious and earnest.
Mason was already good–looking and had a great figure. After becoming successful, his temperament rose several levels.
At this moment, his serious and dedicated appearance had an indescribable charm
suddenly felt regretful, why couldn’t I have liked him earlier.
If that were the case, those three years of marriage wouldn’t have been all bad memories.
Ah, forget it.
What difference does it make if I liked him earlier?
The person
in his heart was Rosalie. If I had fallen in love with him earlier, I would have probably gotten even more deeply involved.
As I was lost in my thoughts, I suddenly felt a scorching gaze upon
I instinctively lifted my head and met Mason’s gaze straight on.
me
My heart raced suddenly, and I quickly averted my gaze.
I waited for a few seconds, but I didn’t hear him speak.
I looked again and found that he continued his work as if he hadn’t seen
I also stood quietly aside, not daring to disturb Aria.
- me.
Suddenly, he tugged at his tie and made a clicking sound, looking at me with an annoyed expression, “What are you here for?”
Judging by his tone, it seemed like he didn’t want to see me.
Suppressing the disappointment welling up in my heart, I quickly placed the meal on the table and said, “I came to bring you food.”
You brought me food?” Mason looked at me with a hint of sarcasm, “Do you have another favor

to ask of me? What, the ten million from last night wasn’t enough?”
No.
When he mentioned last night’s ten million in that tone, I felt even more ashamed.
I whispered, “I just came innocently…
“Mason…”
‘I hadn’t finished speaking when Rosalie arrived, accompanied by her charming and sweet voice.
Rosalie also held a lunchbox in her hand.
When she saw me, she paused for a moment and said, “So, Ms. Clark is here too.”
“I…I’m leaving right now,” I quickly said and walked out.
Bosalie stopped me and smiled at me, saying, “Since you’re here, let’s have a meal together. I made
everal dishes myself.”
She said it and then pulled me to the front of the table.
When she saw the takeout box. I had placed on the table, she was surprised again,“Oh, Ms. Clark also brought food for Mason?”
Without waiting for
me to say anything, she pulled Mason over again.
Mason never looked at me directly.
I sat beside him and could clearly feel a low pressure.
Did he blame me for interrupting his dinner time with his beloved?
wanted to leave.
Rosalie, however, suddenly opened the lunchbox I had sent and exclaimed, “Wow, Ms. Clark, your cooking skills are amazing! These dishes smell so good and look so beautiful.”
“It was done by the maid at home,” I said indifferently.
There came a barely audible ‘sigh‘ from beside.
I looked at him and found a hint of mockery in the corners of his eyebrows!
I pursed my lips and thought, next time if I give him food, I will send him the one I made with m own hands.
Although it was not tasty, at least in his opinion, my intention was sincere.
Rosalie suddenly said to Mason with a sense of grievance, “Ms. Clark brought you food, why didn’t you tell me in advance? Look, now I have too much food.”
“Not necessary,” Mason took the lunchbox from her and said lightly, “I’ll eat what you made.”
Rosalie smiled sweetly and said, “Then I will eat the food Ms. Clark sent. The food Ms. Clark sent: looks so delicious, it would be a waste not to eat it.”
Mason did not speak.
I pushed the lunchbox in front of Rosalie and smiled, saying, “If you like it, eat more.” I paused for a moment and said, “You guys take your time eating, I have something to do, so I’ll
leave first.”
Rosalie quickly asked, “Don’t you want to eat something?”

I have eaten.” I replied with a faint smile and walked outside.
Just as I stepped outside the door, I heard Rosalie’s voice filled with grievances..
“Mason, why do I feel like Ms. Clark seemed to dislike me?”
Mason:“Don’t pay attention to her.”
I lowered my gaze, and the pain in my chest couldn’t be suppressed.
When I walked out of the building, it was already completely dark outside.
I sat by the roadside for a long time before going back, afraid that Paulina would worry. When I went back, Paulina asked me in confusion, “Why didn’t Mr. accompany you back?” I think Paulina got something wrong.
Mason liked Rosalie.
Naturally, Rosalie’s place was Mason’s home.
He often returned to Rosalie as well.
And here, it was just a villa that Mason had deliberately bought to humiliate me.
This place carried the burden of his three years of humiliating married life, so naturally he didn’t want to come back here.
I didn’t say much to Paulina and went straight back to my room to sleep. I will have to go job hunting tomorrow. I don’t want to dwell on those romantic affairs anymore.
Making money is my main job!
The next morning, I did not receive any interview notification.
I was thinking about whether to send out some resumes again. In the afternoon, two companies called me one after another, informing me that I have interviews tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock I was so excited in my heart that I couldn’t wait to go for the interview immediately. That day, I went out shopping and bought a set of professional attire
The next morning, I tidied up and went out for an interview.
I had two interviews, one for an administrative position and the other for a sales position.
I went to the company for an interview for an office job.
Perhaps it was because I had never worked before, but I felt a slight nervousness when I looked at the row of interviewers.
Fortunately, the interview process was not difficult. First, I operated documents and spreadsheets in front of the interviewer.
I answered the questions they asked in quick succession.
I finished the interview in less than half an hour.
However, the result of the interview was that I did not pass.
I didn’t know where the problem was, and I didn’t want to ask either.
After leaving this company, I hurriedly went for an interview for the sales position.

The interview process was not difficult either. The recruiters just looked at my appearance and then asked me some questions.
- me.
I thought I answered well and believed that I should be able to get an interview for this sales job.
Little did I know, after the interview ended,
ended, they directly rejected
They said I was not suitable for this job, they said at first glance I didn’t seem like someone who could endure hardships.
I was completely dumbfounded
for a while, walking aimlessly on the street.
Jasmine said that administrative work was simple, and sales was even simpler, with almost no barriers to entry.
But I didn’t get either of these two jobs,
either of these two jobs, am I really that bad?
At one point, I found myself deeply immersed in self–doubt.
I sat by the street, bewildered, deeply reflecting on what exactly went wrong with me.
Just at that moment, someone behind me suddenly called out to me.
Hearing that sound, I couldn’t help but furrow my brows.
Before I could even turn around, that person had already
already run up to me.
