A month later, Ethan Parker’s Art Exhibit was successfully held.
I had to work overtime that day, and by the time I got off work, it was almost eight o’clock.
When I rushed to the exhibit, I saw a figure that looked very much like Carter Lockwood among the people leaving.
I shook my head, thinking it must be someone with a similar build.
Entering the venue, many of the paintings hanging in the exhibition hall looked familiar.
A few girls walked past me excitedly, holding art albums.
“Quick, quick, Ethan Parker seems to be just ahead. We must get his autograph this time.”
“I heard this is his last Art Exhibit. If we miss it, we’ll never have a chance to get his autograph.”
I followed the girls‘ gaze.
Sure enough, I saw Ethan Parker, standing much taller than the crowd.
He had his head lowered, patiently signing autographs for the people in front of him.
I thought this was his first Art Exhibit, how could it be his last?
My eyes searched around, and I finally noticed the introduction about Ethan Parker at the entrance.
It turned out he was already a well–known artist, his previous works had toured nationally, and many pieces had sold for sky–high prices.
Standing there, I suddenly felt too intimidated to approach.
