She did pick up one call, though, from Chandler’s assistant.

The assistant’s icy tone made Clarissa aware of how upset Chandler likely was.
After all, anyone suddenly accused of infidelity wouldn’t be in a great mood.
But she refused to accept that label!

After chatting for a bit, Clarissa brought Emily along and hopped into the car heading towards the Moreno Group.
As anticipated, the area outside the Moreno Group building was already filled with reporters.
Emily drove straight into the underground garage.
There were still some onlookers here, but the crowd was much smaller compared to the square above.
Clarissa crouched in the trunk, cautiously peeking out of the car window, feeling bewildered by the intense scene outside.
At times, she found herself impressed by the creativity of these media folks.
In the past, they would spin tales from nothing, and now they were crafting wild stories out of thin air.
